Monday 17 April 2006 - Easter Monday

More photos of Lauren taken this week. The one of her & Ash was taken Easter Sunday at the airport just before Ash & Shea left. Lauren was giggling at Ash, which was very cute to see! The outfit she is wearing was given to her by Roanna, Mark, Emma & Jessica who live opposite us.
The next photo shows Lauren using her play gym - wearing a dress sent to her by my mum. In fact Daphne (mum's cousin) had sent the same dress over in newborn size, which Lauren has obviously outgrown - we liked the dress so much that mum bought it in the larger size!
The next photo shows Lauren posing - she looks quite pensive, so god knows what is going through her brain! She's wearing a top sent by Pat & Dick Thraves (family friends) and trousers given to her by Mark & Tara (our friends).
So what's been happening this week? Well Lauren has really got the hang of feeding - she's now on two feeds a day and just loves her fruit - she's not too sure of pumpkin, but does eat it! I'm thinking of tying down her hands & feet, as they are waving around with excitment whilst I'm trying to feed her, which can result in food everywhere! You can almost set the clock by her with her bottle feeds - about 3 3/4 hours between each one.
On Thursday we went to a local Plunket playgroup, with her friend James and his mum, Lou. James is nearly a year and loved being there playing with other kids about the same age or older. He loved crawling around, whereas Lauren just loved watching everything and everyone. The Onehunga firemen came along, allowing the kids to sit in the fire engine and providing some pleasing eye-candy for the mums! The Easter bunny was also there, although Dave got to eat Lauren's egg, as she's really a bit too young! There's no playgroup this week, but we'll definitely be returning there every Thursday morning once it starts again - Lauren slept really well Thursday afternoon, so that was an added bonus!
Lauren is still moving around her cot, and has started on the floor too! I put her on her tummy today and she was trying to bring her legs underneath her and move that way. I know that we have a real live wire with Lauren and Dave & I will be kept fit with her once she starts moving! Still no sign of teeth, but her cheeks are red and she's dribbling a lot - think it's only a matter of time before we spot one! I've learnt that Lauren does a lot of things when she thinks there's no-one around - I've discovered her using her legs against the bars in the cot to roll over to her side and then "walk" around the cot sides! Once she sees me, she stops and is all smiles.
