Wednesday 21 June 2006

Well we are in our final week in the UK, and enjoying the weather, although it has turned a little cooler, it is still shorts & t-shirt weather. Think we'll find it a shock to the system returning to winter.

Still no sign of teeth for Lauren, however she is now really playing with her toys and you can see her thinking about what they do. We have travelled around by train & tube this past week and she's been wonderful. Her routine is non-existant and yet it hasn't bothered her at all. She is full of smiles for everyone and is happy to be held by whoever!

We saw my sister at the weekend and I think it's safe to say that Lauren adores her cousin Bertie. Whenever he is around she just watches him and manoeuvres herself around to constantly watch him! Hopefully I have some great photos of the pair of them!

I will write properly, plus add photos, next week once we're back in Auckland.

Still no photos (or teeth), but otherwise all is going well! Lauren is still a happy girl, who will play with her toys contentedly for a while, when she's bored, she cries and as soon as she is picked up, she smiles again! My parents are loving the time they spend with her, and are proudly showing her off to all their friends!

Tuesday 6 June 2006

Having a problem entering this site, so am not able to update as regularly as I intended. Still no photos I'm afraid, but if I haven't sorted anything out before I return to NZ, will defnitely do so when we get home.

Otherwise everything is going well. Lauren has managed to put her toes in her mouth this week, but still no sign of teeth! She is really playing with her toys, that is when she isn't being held by various family and friends! The weather has finally improved and she's been out in the garden (in the shade!) watching all the plants and leaves. This has the added bonus of making her sleep well at night - still not quite all the way through, but definitely much better than she was.

She is starting to recognise Bertie and her eyes follow him when he is around. He is brilliant with her, and will be so good with his brother or sister when they arrive later in the year.
