Oops - late again! This time was due to the fact I didn't take any photos of her last week, and then our internet was down yesterday!

So both these photos were taken yesterday morning - the top shows Lauren thinking what mischief she can get up to, and the bottom one showing her climbing over one of the garden chairs - something new for her to tackle!

Lauren still has a runny nose, but have since discovered that it's not really due to a cold, but her teeth - one of her molars (bottom right) is through and the others are on their way. Dave's worried that she's going to be eating his steak soon! Otherwise she's the same happy, giggly girl.

We took her to the beach again on Sunday - she just runs for the water and loves being in the sea. Dave says that she's trying to push away from him whilst he's holding her, and is just longing to go by herself. She doesn't mind being dunked under the water and just giggles non-stop. Dave only bought her out because her bottom lip was starting to turn blue!

Lauren has developed a lovely habit of shutting her eyes & turning her head when she doesn't want to see you, or be seen! She does it when she's had enough to eat, and if she's somewhere where she's had enough of whatever she's doing! It's really quite cute, and makes me laugh! When we go to playgroup however, she just disappears and it's generally me trying to find her. She loves being around other children, and doesn't seem too bothered if they take toys from her - she just goes to find something else.

Lauren is just starting to lift things - she prefers to carry her toys everywhere, including her bike, and the latest thing is bringing the peg basket inside - consequently nothing is where I think it is, and it can take twice as long to do the simpliest task! However, it's all good fun, and she thinks she is helping me. She's starting to copy things we do, and looks very pleased with herself when she does something correct - ie collect her shoes, or find the ball! She's is still burbling non-stop, but is starting to point to things she wants.

Couldn't get on yesterday, so these are a day late - sorry!

The first photo was taken last week, and shows Lauren just being herself! She is constantly moving, climbing, or dancing, and this one shows it quite well! As does the next photo - Lauren running in our back yard!

The bottom three photos were taken on Sunday at our local league club - The Warriors - they had a family fun day, where the players were teaching kids new skills, and generally meeting their fans before their first pre-season warm-up game. Lauren wasn't too fussed about meeting the players - she had fun running around the pitch, and playing with a balloon she found!

Lauren has had a cold this week - have been thinking of renaming her 'bubble-nose' - but apart from this she has been in good form - full of laughter and smiles and determined to do things for herself. She loves Dave, and at weekends goes to him more than me, which I love. She chats non-stop, and I think that once she starts making sense, then no-one is going to get a word in!

A bit slack this week - only one photo and that was taken today at Anne & Bill Swain's house - celebrating yesterday's wedding of Matt & Renee and the official opening of presents. Of course Lauren wasn't really too interested in any of this - she'd much rather take my sunnies and wear them (or scratch them up!). Yesterday whilst Dave & I were at the wedding Lauren stayed with Craig, Trish & Izzy and she had an absolute ball - Izzy didn't want Lauren to leave this morning, and Lauren smiled when she saw us, but she carried on playing with Izzy's toys.

This week was back to school for the kids, and hence all preschool kids activities started up again. Thursday we returned to playgroup, and everyone was amazed by how much Lauren has changed since before Christmas. Friday we went to Library time at the local library - reading and singing songs for half and hour for kids. Lauren loved this - she adored sitting on the big cushions with the "big kids", danced to the songs and was fascinated by the lady reading the story & waving a balloon about! I wasn't too sure how Lauren was going to react to this, but as she enjoyed herself so much we will be returning!

Had a great wedding yesterday - Renee looked lovely - a real princess, and everyone had a fun time. Of course am feeling shattered now, so hopefully next week will be a little quieter and I'll get some more photos of Lauren.

A couple more photos of Lauren - the first photo shows her with one of my handbags that she has now taken for her own! She runs around the house carrying this, and thinks that she's the best thing ever! The next photo shows Lauren on the phone. This is a toy one she's been given, and as soon as you give it to her she puts in at the back of her neck and "chats & giggles" away - despite what Dave thinks, I have not taught her how to do this!

The final two photos were taken today - again we went to Mission Bay beach, only the weather was a little better. She loved being in the water and just laughed and giggled - even when Dave dunked her under the water.
