Pictures were taken during the week. Lauren reading her book (wearing outfit provided by my aunt Kris & Uncle Dave; being cool with her Buzzy Bee; looking summery and hopefully celebrating the end of winter (wearing a cardigan given to her by her godmother Lou and her partner Paul) and the last one is her loving Kitty (who didn't need to wash herself after Lauren had dribbled all over her!).

Lauren has finally started recovering from her cold and she is definitely getting back to her normal smiley, chatty self. Once more we have giggles and smiles - which is so nice. She also has her second tooth - bottom left. She's very good and smiles and shows it off to whoever wants to see!

Lauren turned 9 months during the week and she went for her Plunket check - unfortunately she had actually lost weight over the last month - only 30g, so nothing too serious. The nurse wasn't particuarly bothered, due to Lauren having had the cold, but we've got to get her weighed again in two weeks just to make sure that she's all OK. Since then Lauren has become a real Kiwi Kid and has started eating Weetbix for breakfast - it started off as half a biscuit, but has now progressed to a whole one! We're also starting her on finger food - the cheese slice ended up on the floor, to the delight of Kitty, but she's starting to get the hang of it.

These photos were both taken yesterday at Mark & Tara's place - we were watching the All Blacks beat the Aussies.

Lauren has had a cold all week, and has passed it onto Dave and me. A very long & difficult week - she is currently screaming, so no chance to write anything else!

I have tried to take a photo of Lauren's tooth, but despite her being very happy to show it off to whoever is looking at her, whenever I had the camera, she found plenty of other things to put in her mouth!

In the first photo Lauren is wearing a dress given to her by my parents, with a cream knitted jacket given by Dave's dad - this also has matching booties and a hat, both of which are too small for her! In the next photo all the clothes have been handed down - the jeans are from Roanna, who lives opposite us and the fleece is from another friend - it's great seeing baby clothes getting used, as after a couple of months they generally look new still. In the final photo Lauren is wearing a fleece lent to her from Roanna. I had made some biscuits for Lauren for her to chew on - she seems to like them.

She is really moving around, and full of smiles and giggles. On Saturday Tara taught her how to bang her hand on the table - thanks Tara - Lauren is now banging everything, including the tray on her highchair!
